Man Pleads Guilty To Unlawful Killing Of Migratory Bird…Again

READING – Pennsylvania Game Commission officials today announced that Roy Gordon Lovell, 74, of Glen Rock pled guilty to one count of the unlawful killing of a Canada goose and one count of false or fraudulent statements to an officer on April 28.  The charges stemmed from an incident on April 20, in Codorus Township, York County.

“Although there is a lawful hunting season for the taking of Canada geese, the violation occurred during the closed season for hunting or taking this species,” said Chad Eyler, Game Commission Wildlife Conservation Officer for southwestern York County. “Canada geese are protected by both state and federal law, and established hunting seasons must be followed.

PA Man Guilty Of Illegally Killing Largest Bear Of 2009 Season Over Bait

HARRISBURG – Charles W. Olsen Jr., 39, of Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, was found guilty today of illegally killing a 707-pound bear over bait during the 2009 hunting seasons, and ordered to pay fines and restitution of $6,800, plus court costs, according to Pennsylvania Game Commission Wildlife Conservation Officer (WCO) Vic Rosa, of Wyoming County.

The carcasses of nine porcupines were found next to a recycling bin on Dauber Road in Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, on April 5. The PA Game Commission is seeking information about this case.

The carcasses of nine porcupines were found next to a recycling bin on Dauber Road in Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, on April 5. The PA Game Commission is seeking information about this case.

Pennsylvania Game Commission Wildlife Conservation Officer Kristoffer Krebs is looking for information about the individual or individuals responsible for the illegal killing and dumping of nine porcupines in Lycoming Township, Lycoming County.

On April 5, the Game Commission Northcentral Region Office was contacted by a Lycoming Township employee regarding numerous porcupines that were placed at the recycling bin at the township building on Dauber Road.
